Western Innovation Forum 2026 (WIF 2026) is a business-to-business (B2B) meeting event and will take place virtually on February 24-26, 2026. There is no cost to register.
Reasons to participate in WIF
WIF 2026 is an industry-oriented event that connects western Canada’sdefence industries, innovators, and researchers to investment and research partnerships that are primarily driven by the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) Policy.
Last year, WIF attracted 360 participants, including 32 defence prime contractors/tier 1 suppliers, and featured over 800 B2B meetings.
WIF 2026 will feature
A virtual B2B meeting program consisting of defence prime contractors/top-tier suppliers, and a wide range of innovative western Canadian companies, post-secondary and public research institutions.
How to participate
Complete a registration profile (providing capabilities information in your profile makes it easier for other WIF participants to connect with you).
Identify available meeting times in your WIF platform calendar using the “My Agenda” tab (other participants can request meetings during these indicated times once the meeting scheduling period opens).

Due to limited spaces, WIF participation is open to companies and organizations with significant operations in provinces served by PrairiesCan and PacifiCan: Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta or British Columbia.
