The 2026 Family Medicine Innovation Forum (FMIF) brings together health leaders, creative thinkers, and trailblazers in family medicine and primary care to showcase best practices and innovations that are transforming and improving patient care.

The fall gathering provides participants with the opportunity to share, learn, and expand the reach of the latest innovations happening in Alberta’s primary health care.

What to Expect
October 2nd | 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Welcome Reception
All registrants are invited to attend our Welcome Reception Friday night. Enjoy a cocktail and some light refreshments and take a moment to make the connections you need.

October 3rd | 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m.: Innovation Forum
Enjoy of day of learning about the latest and greatest of family medicine and primary health care innovations through thought-provoking keynotes, fast-paced pitch presentations, and key networking opportunities.

The Innovations
With 30 submissions, our scientific planning committee shortlisted the top 12 innovations for consideration, selecting three finalists and gifting them a Golden Ticket to the stage.
