Additionally, the Steering Committee and its Sub-Committees should have a diverse range of members with the necessary skills and expertise to fulfill their governance responsibilities and reflect the community they serve, ensuring the trust and confidence of all stakeholders.

WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF A VOLUNTEER?

Steering Committee Members serve up to three, two-year terms for a maximum of six years.Sub-Committee Members serve two-year terms and no more than two terms.

To fulfill their duties, it is essential for Members to possess certain competencies and qualities. These include:an understanding of governance, including the difference between governance and management and the roles and responsibilities of the Steering Committee and individual members.personal and professional integrity, wisdom, and judgment are also crucial, along with a commitment to ethical standards and behavior.effective teamwork and communication with other Members and the Manager, ERIN.the ability to think critically and ask strategic questions.
